PS Audio Duet problem?

I have had this for about a day now. First thing I noticed when I hooked it up and began to listen was, everything sounds a little leaner. Is this normal at the start, or is this the way it is going to be? Also it seems as if my sound stage is a bit more narrow and focused mostly on the middle of the stage. My band shrunk!

One other thing, I am not able to use on of the outlets. I can get a plug about half way in and no further. Tried 3 different PC's so I'm assuming it is not the PC's Is there something I'm missing here?

thanks in advance!

Is this Duet new?

If so it will take some good amount of time to run in completely. Mine took around 300 hrs. I don't know what it sounds like right out of the box... I usually forgoe that issue by plugging power cables, line filters, etc., into some household item like a fan, fridge, etc.

Tight outlets? yeah, they're tight... but standard NEMA plugs should have little trouble getting in there. the last bit of travel in the receptacle does require some extra effort though... and yes, different cords will seem to be more stiff to seat than others....

I'd take the one which does go in and plug it into the other outlets some to loosen them up a mite.
if you bought new it needs to burn in....this is a good unit and will enhance and protect your gear....best plugged into a Soloist and used with a decent power cord.if one outlet won't accept a plug somethings wrong...call the company, they are responsive.

I finally got the one stubborn outlet to work. It took a bit of gentle persuasion :) Since last night when I first posted I have been playing a stereo receiver thought it. So I guess now I wait a few days. I'm confident that I will be pleased with the Duet. I am using a good PC on the input of the Duet, never bothered unpacking the stock cord. Never do on any equipment :)

thanks again!

i'VE FOUND THAT THE STOCK CORD psa SUPPLIES WITH A dUET IS A GOOD ONE TO PUT ONTO tv'S AND PROJECTOR. sOMETIMES AN ADAPTER IS NEEDED IF THE tv/pRO CORD IS A CAPTIVE CORD... i MEAN WHY NOT TRY IT? IT'S THERE... RIGHT?
I don't own a TV or anything else that needs a PC upgrade. So the PC will stay packed until I sell the Duet. If i ever do :)
