PS Audio DL3 USB Question/Streaming

Does anyone know if I can plug a Wifi adapter into the USB in on the DL3? Or, do I need really long USB cable.....(it's across the room from my computer). I do have an Airport Express hooked up, but it kinda limits me to iTunes...
