Set to PCM. The other setting for 96k does not affect the digital output.

Ericjcabrera - can you share a quick impression of the 5910 audio both native and through the PS Audio DLIII? I'm curious how they compare.
The 5910 has great resolution and dynamics, especially when set to Source Direct or Pure Direct mode using 2 channel outputs.
When I feed either coax or Toslink output to DLIII, the DLIII is better by a small margin using the single ended outputs, particularly tighter bass definition and soundstage.
Using balanced outputs of the DLIII yields even better results, and is preferred over all configurations, in all likelyhood due to its lower noise floor.
BTW, I have a couple of Chesky 96/24 disks that the DLIII has no problem accepting the signal from; the 5910 even indicates the disk as 96/24.
