Proper wiring of 4 8 ohm speakers and amp load..

Hey guys, I just want a confirmation of my findings for proper load etc. 4 speakers, one 2 channel amp with 4 speaker outputs (Parasound nc2250). Can someone confirm that when I hook up 2 speakers to section A of the amp, and 2 speakers to section B, the ohm load will be 4 ohms per speaker.

Basically I want to run all 4 of my 8 ohm speakers (they are all the same speaker) off this one amp. It is a 2 channel, but has 4 speaker outputs (2 per side). I want to be sure I'm getting the most power from the amp. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are running 2 pair of speakers off of the amp the result will be 4 ohms total per channel and with a Parasound you should have no worries.

You will get more power this way but you will also get more distortion (true of all amplifiers driving 4 ohms as opposed to 8 or 16 ohms) and that distortion will manifest as a harsher sound. Something to think about...
