Proceed PMDT DVD CD transport

IMO its a very good dvd/cd transport when its working. There have been issues with these players. I've never owned one but one problem that I've personally seen in more than one of these units is: when switching from listening to a cd to dvd or vice versa, you have to power the unit down & start it up again for it to work. Owners of these units can tell you more about the bugs it may have. That being said, a lot of owners have stuck with the PMDT because like I said when its working its a very, very good unit.

I have one and can't answer why they are for sales except that people willing to pay several thousand for one may be looking at other high players. There have been some problems with the software which are resolved by this time and a simple upload can handle. Also the slide drawer on earlier models had some problems which are repaired by the company, but has not been an issue for some time. The unit is fantastic otherwise. It is upgradeable and you should look at the madrigal website for a full description.

HAd issues at the start but at the end with the new updated transport and Progressive upgrade.. this PMDT product was top drawer !

For audio .. its based on the Mark LEvinson Transport, the No. 37.. excellent with a Mark Levinson DAC that I had..

If you can get it for under $3500 with PVP option.. its a bargain in my opinion ..
