Problems with ABKCO Rolling Stones Hybrid SACD's?

I recently bought a new copy of the Rolling Stones Let it Bleed on an ABKCO re-mastered hybrid SACD. Three songs did not play right: Let it Bleed, Monkey Man, and You Can't Always Get What You Want. In each case it sounded like Keith Richards' guitar had been run through a high attenuation notch filter. Vocals were not affected except on You Can't Always Get What You Want. I got the exact same results when I played the CD in my old XA7ES Sony and in a new low end Sony DVD player. At this point I decided that there is a problem with the CD track layer.

I just received a Philips SACD 1000 player that I purchased on Audiogon. I played the CD in it and the SACD track sounded just like the standard CD track. Trouble shooting indicated a problem with the CD. Well, I exchanged it at the mall and the replacement sounds exactly like the original. Other CD's in my collection play fine on all three players. I do have a Joe Walsh CD that displays the same kind of behavior (no SACD track to test). Neither CD skips or pops. It almost sounds like one of the channels is dropping out except that I get sound out of both speakers. I am curious if other members have run into this problem. It wouldn't be a big deal to me except for the fact that this is one of my favorite recordings. I would greatly appreciate any comments. Thank you very much.

Find the person who left that switch halfway in between, tie them to a chair, and make them listen to the Carpenters over and over again all night long. They'll never mess with your amp switches again ....
One more update. There is a switch on the back of my amp for normal two channel and bridged mono operation. The switch was not fully in the two channel position. Everything is working great now. My tunes have never sounded better.
Thanks for your responses. Troubleshooting today has isolated the problem to channel two of my amp. It is a weird frequency response type of failure. I didn't originally suspect the analog portion of my system because it sounds fine on almost everything else. I won't make this mistake again in the future. There is nothing wrong with the Stones CD. I guess my amp doesn't like Keith Richards. I will be sending it in for a tuneup very soon.
I have bought about 4 of the new SACD's of the Rolling Stones and those have been not only fine but really great sounding. Perhaps there was a bad lot. I would return and try to get a copy somewhere else if I had the problem twice.

Good luck!
