Prima Luna Prolog 1 and ipod

What is the best way to connect my ipod to the Prima Luna Prolog one? The way I am using now, the quality of sound is very poor.

I forgot to mention that I have a Quad Cd player, which can be used as a preamp. Would I be abble to plug the ipod into the Quad before it goes into the amp?

However, I don't hear a thing. Not sure if my inputs are dead or I am not using it correctly. Anyone with similar experience?

I have already ordered the Pure I-20. Just thought I should have the luxury of listening to my ipod via the QUAD although that is not my main input to my system. Thank you once again
