Considering your source, I'd definitely consider a DAC with volume control and run it directly into the Krell. I've been going DAC directly into power amps for a long time now and love it. I think this is a great solution for you.
Preamp suggestion for KAV 2250
I was wondering if anyone on A'gon who uses a Krell KAV2250 could share their preamp recommendations? Speakers would be monitors, likely for the immediate to near future Rogers LS2a/2. Source is apple lossless into a yet to be purchased DAC. Room is small, bedroom sized. Thanks.
