It might be too late for you, but Oritek OMZ/DAC for $1200 would work great. It beat my $5700 preamp/cd player. It has very precise imaging and instruments sound like they should. It has great bass also.
Preamp/DAC for an all digtal system
I'm looking for a combination preamp/DAC with remote control. The remote control is important. My budget is around $2000 new or used. Are there any products out there that fit the bill?
I've got an all digital system so I don't care about the analog inputs. Also I've already got 3 devices with CD transports, so it doesn't need to play CDs.
