your suppose to use one or the other ,i have used seperate amps for ht and amp in recriver for second zone

A receiver has 7 channels of built in amplification and it has an additional 7 outputs to use external amps. If all 7 internal amps are connected to speakers, can you connect additional speakers to external amps via the pre-outs simultaneously?
