Power Conditioner for your amplifier?

Lately, I've been toying with the idea of trying a power conditioner on my amplifier (ARC VT-100 MkII). I know there has been much written about going straight into the wall with your amp (which is what I am doing currently), but has anyone had any luck with plugging your amplifier into a conditioner? Specifically, I've been thinking of a non-limiting device, such as a PS Audio Ultimate Outlet or a UPC-200.
Has anyone had success using a power conditioner on your amplifier - yes / no? Any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. In advance, thanks, and happy listening!

Using Audience 6 TSSD 20 Amp for my Pass 350.8 350ch sounds much better than in the wall.Depends on the quality of your unit and your power.Using a second Audience 6 TSSD for TT,preamp and CD player.
Lloydlee and Ebm,
What power cords do you use on your Line Conditioners ?
In general what power cords do use through out your systems.
Many thanks

Hi Goldeneraguy,

the Burmester 948 has a fixed power cable...one of their earlier models. Otherwise, i have found i like Purist Audio Cables, namely their older Dominus cables, as well as their more recent Canorus and 25th Anniversary. I also have had good experiences with Mark Coles' Sablon Audio Power Cables and still use 2 (Oppo 95 and Velodyne).

The PADs i suppose you could say have a sound...certainly switching out with Mark's cables showed me changes. I like them a lot. I have spoken with 2 people whose systems i admire a lot who also liked PAD and only recently went to Echole Cables (their 2 highest levels...cannot remember their name). Hope that helps. Good luck!
Audience 6 TSSD has Audience AU24 SE high current cord Pass 350.8 using Stealth V12 cord for amps.
Thank you very much for this info.
Both of you have outstanding systems and yet they are completely different. As I am in the market for a conditioner and an upgrade on two power cords I thought it would be wise to solicit your preference.
In the past have exchanged e:mails with Mark re his Corona's and with Jeffrey @ HWS re the cords he has.A decision will be forth coming.
Thank you again for your reply's
I have two B.M.C. M2s plugged into the High Fidelity Cables Waveguide power center using the HFC URR pcs to them and to the Waveguide. I have never heard anything that can compare with this.
Norm,I'm sure I would agree if i had the oppertunity to hear these components. However they still would be way above my budget.
I do appreciate your posts here and over at WBF.
Enjoy
I have a Pass X350.5, I didn't like the X350.8. But to each his own...
Anyway, I tried so many, many power conditioners with this amp including many that have been mentioned in this thread.
I found that just using a dedicated line with Furutech outlet and a high quality power cord gives me the best results.
However, I do have plugged in to that outlet a Nordost QV2.
To me 350.8 had better dynamics, better stage etc they are both great amps. I don't have dedicated lines i do however have my amp on one line preamp,cd,and turntable on another line with FIM outlets and Furutech covers. My amp sounds much better through the Audience 6TSSD.
The right conditioner will give you fuller body, a silky sheen and more bounce, but don't pay more than 5.95.
On my 1st setup, I use two power conditioners Tesla Powercell (4) ->Tara Labs PM2 as cascade to feed my BAT vk-600se. The result is phenomenal. The main challenge was to find a good power cable with appropriate AC plug metal feeding powercell and Tara labs PM2. Both are non-current limiting power conditioners. For sources and preamp along with TV receiver box, I use same configuration, Tesla powercell+Tara labs AD6.

As for my second system setup, I use a Running Spring Haley which is a very good PC with Mcintosh MC402.

A non-current power conditioner is the one recommended by almost any amplifier manufacturer! the other important factors are power cords as in/out to the PC and AC outlet.

In the past, I tried shunyata Hydra 8 which was not bad, but I prefer Tara labs Pm2 and Ad6.

hope that would help.
For my 115 W Air Tight monoblocs I use Bybee Holographic with great success and wouldn't be without them.
Anyone still using a FURMAN reference 15i or reference 20i power conditioner?

If so, what are the major advantages between the (2) models besides price factor? Keep me posted & Happy Listening!
