I have an original DAX that I use with a Passion Ultimate so it should be similar to some degree. I found that the Meridian 605 works well with this combination; it runs cool but I don't know about the size. Possibly some other Meridian amp would be smaller. I prefer the Musical Fidelity Kw line stage to the Passion but it is huge.
power amps for Audio Synthesis DAX Discrete

I am looking to find out what good power amp matches people have had with an Audio Synthesis DAX Discrete. I had a Decade power amp, but am looking for something more compact and cooler running as my space is very limited. I am also curious as to whether people have found a pre-amp that is sufficiently better than that in the DAX Discrete to justify new expenditure.
