Pipedreams have a crossover built in the speaker for the mid/tweeter panel.An active crossover is only required when you're driving passive subwoofers.

I have been offered to buy a pair of Pipedream speakers with 18 tweeters and 9 mids per side, the owner claims that the speakers do need a new crossover. The speakers are an early model and a new crossover should be a major upgrade. Is anyone out there that can help me with the layout and parts for updated crossover.
