Pearl Jam - Rearview mirror on vinyl

I purchased this with great anticipation, Pearl Jam's greatest hits on vinyl mastered by Ludwig...how could I go wrong!? It's a 4 LP set covering most of the bands great songs. I was hyped for a evening of great music until I drop the needle in the grooves..dull, lifeless and no dynamics. Come on, I know this is grunge rock but the sound was horrible.

Anyone else as dissappointed as I was with this album?

The CD was pretty ugly too. Usually, because they're pressed in such limited quantities, more care is taken in the pressing of LPs than in the pressing of CDs, but I guess this time the rule became the exception! See ya tomorrow, DW!

P.S. I don't think any of Pearl Jams's records are exactly audiophile benchmarks. I had a few back in the day. Ludwig probably did the best he could with a big, steamin' pile o' shite!
I admit I did have my hopes up pretty high with this one. Still good jams on the albums but nothing I could sit down with for an hour thats for sure.

Should have got the Peferct Circle album instead...Maynard rocks!

Tomorrow it is Mr Hooper!

That was my conclusion after listening to this set and considering the previous PJ vinyl offerings.
thier 3 cd set in concert in boston(i believe) is probably one of the better live pj recordings.
