Ordered Magico S5 MK II traded S5 MK I - Thoughts - Feedback - Anyone here them?

There are no local ones to hear and I loved my Magico S5 MK I so I went for it and ordered them.

Traded my S5 MK I and a few other items. Ordered from Scott Walker Audio in Anaheim CA. They are awesome.

Would love all feedback, idea’s criticism etc.

Some have said they are way better others said only a little difference. The change cost an awful lot so hopefully they are good. They are about 4 weeks out and wanted to ask you guys thoughts. Sorry for the hear/here typo :)

Thank you

Ah, I see fsmithjack. I was assuming you were local to Scott Walker. I guess that's not the way things work anymore!
Congrats @fsmithjack -- having just swapped up from Q3 to M3 (again without having heard the Ms in my system) I know how comfortable you can get trusting that a move up the ladder will work for you -- I'm sure the MkIIs will be a delight

Agree on Scott Walker but I will say that one plus of working with a local dealer is that they will handle the installation -- getting 350lb speakers out of their crates and into place is not a one man job and their is an art to how Magico pack and deliver their kit
Yes I spoke to a couple local dealers but honestly they just seemed kind of disinterested which I found odd? They were like sure just stroke me a check for $40k and and a in a couple months they should be there?

They seemed pleasant but disinterested. I had my Magico trades and I wanted a fair price. Nothing crazy because I wanted brand new but I am not a wealthy person or anything like that - I work 60 hours per week and have 3 kids so just wanted a fair price.

Scott Walker Audio right from the beginning you could just tell were very interested in trying to work with me to make the deal work for both of us.

They offered me a fair trade in and a fair price and were pleasant, responsive and they were interested in selling speakers.

I mean I was a stone cold buyer. Easy sale, I owned the prior generation speaker and was looking to get the new current generation.

Just give me a fair trade and a fair price and done deal. How is that a hard thing to do? I had to go all the way across the country to but I am not complaining because Walker Audio is great and I am thankful for them but there is more going on than the economy that is effecting dealers. Honestly, the first thing a dealer needs to do is act like they care and want to do a deal. If they don't they should pretend. To act disinterested will turn a stone cold buyer like me into a shopper and quickly.
Have not heard the five, but the S3mkII is a thing of beauty. I did not understand Magico until I heard it. I have read opinions that the S series can bright, but that was assuredly not my experience.
