Oppo BDP-95 sounds GREAT?

Stereophile Sept.: Oppo‘s BDP-95, it plays everything and sounds great. Any experience with it? How great is „great“ in reality? Great comparable to Wadia, EMMlabs or Esoteric? Great enough for those „masterings“ which gave us monthly sonic revolutions the last 20 years? ,Great‘ to impress anybody who hates CD‘s and is forced listening to it?
The sonic truth between 0 and 1? I am looking for a CD Player. Where‘s the experiemce of this reference sound quality secret?

Thank you Joe. It's reassuring to hear the 105D is significantly better. Especially as many were very satisfied with the 95.

You're welcome, Ptss. What confused me after getting and hearing the 105D was a number of reviews that reported a sound basically the same as the 95 albeit with a good deal of added functionality.

The nice part of buying directly from Oppo is their 30 day buyer's remorse feature. If one really doesn't think it's worth it, then return it and I believe the only expense is shipping.

Hi Joe.Thanks for mentioning the 30 day Buyer's Remorse feature of purchasing directly from OPPO. That is a policy that certainly confirms great faith by the company that they are selling honest value - and there seems no arguments herein. Temptation beckons.
