Opinions on the Theta Compli as a CD player.....

My long and loyal serving Theta Miles is off to a fellow A'goner and I'm trying to settle on a 1 box replacement that does video too, if possible, under $5k. Redbook Audio is much more important than video, though I'd like to combine to save space. Any comments on the Theta Compli or others that I should consider? Thanks.........

I've had a Compli now for over two years, and have absolutelly no desire to replace it. I run it through a Casablanca II with Extreme and Superior DAC's, but when run through the analog outs, the analog blows the DAC's away by far. IMHO, the Compli shines because Theta's been doing hign end Digital to Analog longer than most anyone.
I have a Compli and am totally at ease with it's audio performance, smooth yet detailed and open ,analog like.Add great video and prices here at audiogon make it no brainer.
