I'm no audiophile, but when I wanted to buy an integrated amplifier, the Creek 5350se seemed the very best choice. Amazing sound, right out of the box. A month later I installed one of Creek's phono "boards" and have been enjoying vinyl like never before. It easily passed the wife test based on it's sound, simplicity, and appearance.BTW, I recently ordered a Rega Planet 2000 to make it seem more like an audiophile system. Check out Paradigm speakers; I have the
Reference(?)20, which sound very nice.

I own the 5350SE with a MMF CD25 CDP (along with Epos M12's) and have been quite happy. From my reading, the Rega is very musical, similiar to the MMF CD25, so it should be a nice match. I cannot speak about the Grand Piano's. Aren't they the high end of Sonus? If so, you may be a little unbalanced, meaning you may not hear what they have to offer. Finally, don't forget cabling and aftermarket power cords. They do make a difference.

From my knowledge, I believe the Sonus Faber Grand Pianos are around the middle of performance/price spectrum. Hopefully, I am right about that. Any information regarding this issue as well would also be greatly appreciated.

Just yesterday I heard the Grand Pianos with the $20,000.00 Linn CD player and $20,000.00 mono-amps. Sounded wonderful but not as "real" as my SET/ProAc set-up. Incredibly transparent and I think the first S.S. system I've heard that really nailed me to the chair. So, the Grand Pianos can sound just fine! Anybody used Grand Pianos w/ SETs?
