Opinion on Target CD's

I was wondering what the general concensus is of the audio quality of Target CD's? Worth pursuing?

I see these listed on ebay and they seem to be desirable per ebay standards. They are marketed as original run CD's out of West Germany implying superior sound quality.

Thanks for any input.

Mike O.
I wasn't aware Target sells CDs that are different than the others. I will have to check it out.
Did you expect a different response OP?
According to a EBay listing Target CD's were CD's from West Germany and Japan made for US audience before the US factories were up and in production. They seem to have had a "target " on them.

Sorry Mike, I cannot answer your original Questions.
Is this forum really THAT far behind that target CDs need to be defined? Jeez...
Sorry Synthfreek, It seemed that both you and Rrog did not understand what Mike was asking from your replies. I will admit my ignorance on the subject. I was just trying to help.
Synthfreak, Why did you not try to help if you are so knowledgeable on the subject?

Why would you just wait to ridicule others answers who are at least trying to help others? Maybe it is a stupid answer on my part but that is how we learn new things.

It seems you may not be as superior as you think.
I wasn't ridiculing you at all acman. I just find it unbelievable that people on a music forum on an audiophile website are clueless about nearly 30 year old target CDs. It's like members of a car enthusiast forum not knowing what a Ferrari is. My first response was kind of a wink towards the op since the very first response was obviously talking about Target the department store.
I am just as surprised. I have never ever not ever heard of 'Target' CD's the way they have been described here. I sit here wondering... why?

I have or thought I had read a lot about CD's and even reviews but for some reason the Target name has not been mentioned in my experience.

Knowledge you have gained today, yes grasshopper?
Will these two links help?

Interesting responses. Two days of crickets and then the fun begins.

First off, I'm new here. We'll see if the responses I get keep me coming back for more.

And the question surfaced, well, because I'm new here. I did a search of the forums and found no information on this subject whatsoever so figured I would post here.

While new to this forum, I'm not new to forums and the free speech environment. It takes all kinds.

To those that answered earnestly, thanks. I got the answer I was looking for.

From the responses presented it doesn't sound like they hold much merit here. No problem.

See you around.
