Once again, recuperating from surgery

I am now home and chilling to my vinyl of Waltz for Debbie. Just as relaxing as the anesthesia, with none of the side effects of general.

The doctor gave me percoset to soothe the physical pain (none taken so far). Bill Evans is my Rx to soothe the soul.

Zavato I was tempted to say Get well soon, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose? You are the first person I am going to wish a slow lingering recuperation to.Enjoy the Music.
Music is the best medicine and Vinyl delivers it the quickest way, straight through a needle!! Embracing pain is the way to have a more cohesive relationship with it, of course, easier said than done but well worth the effort.
Take two Waltz for Debbie's (good drug of choice:) and others self prescribed, and post us back in the morning. Btw, since you are not using those Perc's.... uhmm, I have an expensive cartridge to install... could get painful. HA
Thank you all- Lot more music spun on the TT and CD since yesterday. All of it good!
Reducing stress is VERY important and music is a great way to do this. Don't be afraid to take the medicine if needed. Hope you recover as best as possible. Makes one appreciate the things we have more. Bill
Very well put, Bill
Have a nice restful enjoyable evening, Zavato:)
I'm almost envious. Great to hear you survived the surgery to "listen another day". With many surgeries under my belt it is my understanding that if you are experiencing pain-recovery may be expedited with pain killers that help you to be pain free & therefore more relaxed. Just 2C worth. Enjoy and get well soon. :)
Well I didn't put on Kind of Blue until my 2nd day home. What was I thinking? That anesthesia fog must have been more profound than I initially realized.

By the way took perc late Friday. Worked very well indeed and have been feeling pretty good since.

Now doing my usual Sunday morning- WBGO

Rx for the day- FM (free music), LP & CD.
I listen to WBGO (mostly) with my MD 106T (MD Signal Sleuth, ST-2 antenna)
WQXR 105.9 Classical.
WKCR Columbia University, sometimes.
I agree with your choice in music!
Oops, WKCR 89.9
Does it matter that people we do not know and will never meet think kindly of us in difficult times? I hope it does, and I hope you are, or will soon become, well and happy and that you have people around you who care about you.

The dark threw its patches down on me also."

It matters- it matters a whole lot in ways I'm not going to go into. What I do know is that trying times reveals character and the lack of character. But I already learned that in 2012 when I had open heart surgery.

Thanks for the kind words-
And today's notable choice- Weavers at Carnagie Hall
Get well soon, Zavato.
Much better, especially with Way out West spinning
Glad to hear your feeling up to par Zavato. If you like jazz, I listened to Dexter Gordon: One Flight Up last night. Great stuff IMO, but I am no jazz expert.
Dexter a Gordon? Tomorrow. I got the ame on now.
That's cool you're on the mend zavato. Happy Listening!
