old jmw9 vs new

I am just curious if anyone else has had a direct comparison. It seems to me that the new jmw 9 does track better but does sound different to me.

What are the differences? l have the original Scout. The only sensible way to go to a 3D arm would be to trade up to a Prime. Don't have that as an option.
