It's just a big isolation transformer by the looks of it. It should work as well as any other of similar construction. Ask Sean, he has posted about DIY transformers numerous times in the past.

Any thought on this power conditioner? 240 line in to 120 out... Solid theory? Can this be DIY easily and total lightning protection is a weird by product.
