A bit of a delayed reply, but if you can locate the Icelandic version of the CD. It's much less compressed than the US release and has dynamic range closer to that of the vinyl release.
Of Monsters and Men...
Anyone else get their new(and only) release yet? Received mine yesterday and couldn't wait to get home to give it a listen. As with so many new cd's these days it's a little compressed and bright/stringent sounding. What a shame, this band has a really neat sound(reminds me of Edward Sharpe and Magnetic zeros) and once again the recording, of their freshman release no less, is just not good. I wonder if the LP is any better or worse?
