NJ Audio Society?

I have written to the email addresses published each issue in Stereophile magazine, yet receive no response. Can someone tell me what's up with this organization?

Thanks,

Just an FYI - I was able to attend the NJAS Holiday meeting, and join. I had a wonderful time, and met some great people who share this hobby (sickness?). If you're in the area and have the time, it's a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Juancgenao: Please send a message to Audiogon member Rcprince. He is currently president of the NJAS, and will provide you with the information you seek.
Rayr2: If you are still interested, contact Rcprince, president of the NJAS.
The NJ Audio Society will hold its annual picnic on Sunday, August 15th, 2010, at the home of member John Pluta. All are welcome. For more information, please send me a private message.
The New Jersey Audio Society is pleased to announce its October meeting!

The theme is DIY electronics.

We will be welcoming Mr. Bob Cordell, who will introduce his new book on Class-D amplifier design.

Our host, Jack Walton, will be bringing his system to provide music, so please bring anything you'd like to hear.

Jack describes his system: "...my DIY Pass Class-A Amplifiers, including F5, F4; my version of Stu Yaniger's Balanced Tube "Impasse" Preamp, a stock and modified Adcom GFP-565 preamplifier. Sources will include my Sony XA5400ES player and a Linn LP-12, but I would welcome other programming material. Speakers will include the DIY Mass Loaded "Thor's", my Pioneer-TAD S3ex if I can find some incredible hulk to help me move them, and recently fitted out Fostex "Metronomes". I will put black electrical tape on the Pioneer logo so that the cognoscenti won't be offended. My tastes in music run to opera and choral music so I would encourage others to bring music for their ears. I could bring my Pioneer SX-1250 to demonstrate a truly offensive phono preamplifier."

Other members plan to bring their DIY creations to connect to Jack's system as well.

Also, we will have our annual swap meet. All are welcome to bring and offer for sale or trade electronic components, hifi gear, CDs, LPs, etc., anything audio-related.

Dues are $30.00/year, and guests are welcome to try out the NJAS by attending a meeting prior to becomming a member.

The meeting will be held on Sunday, October 24th, at 2:00 p.m., in the basement of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange, NJ (side entrance on 4th Street).

Please email or post any questions.

Thanks, Chris.  It was a great meeting.  Seeing his hand-built CNC machine (!!!) was a real treat.  Great music, great sound, and great hosts.  And, if you are not yet a member, feel free to check us out at a future meeting.  Our calendar is at www.njaudiosociety.com

Check our web site for information on our next monthly meeting.  Our March meeting will be on Sunday, March 18th, at Rogers High Fidelity in Warwick, NY.  As always, you can try us out by dropping in at one of our meetings with no obligation to join.

About 1/4 to 1/3 of the NJAS meetings are in South Jersey.  In October, the meeting is in Delaware.  Please see www.njaudiosociety.com for details.
Like many other audio clubs, we have been unable to hold in-person meetings due to the shutdown restrictions in NJ.  Our meetings have been on Zoom with a variety of interesting speakers (the people-kind, not the transducer-kind).  Please visit www.NJAudioSociety.org for more details.
The New Jersey Audio Society is back with live meetings!  Please see our web site for details...
