New silversmith fidelium cable

You need to try the speaker cable. It is a complete game changer in the audio industry. Probably the biggest improvement ever in sound quality and realism. These will impress audiophiles all over the world.

Ozzy how long did you keep them? I picked up a European class d amp with room correction a few years ago based on forum feedback. People were replacing tube systems, and it was all the rage. What a piece of junk. I kept it for 2 weeks and couldn't wait to drop it off at UPS. We always have to find out for ourselves.

For same reason, I appreciate some cable companies lending the cable for trial before purchase.
I recommend AudioQuest Fog Lifters.
They work.  Cleaner sound, especially bass.
They are easy to use and position.
They look good without drawing attention to themselves.
They are moderately priced, compared to similar products.

I am auditioning the Fidelium in my system. Currently have Cerious Matrix Loom. these cables are more similar than different. Both great cables.  I feel the Matrix have a little more sparkle on top but the bass definition goes to the Fidelium’s
The Fideliums have been on tour and sound great on my buddy’s Martin Logan CLX’s and my other friends Revel Salon’s
Believe the hype it’s a really, really good cable.

It’s an $800.00 cable and sounds great for its price, but it’s a beginner cable for a beginner system.
Hemingway Alpha makes it sound like an $800.00 cable.
A beginner cable for a beginner system?
The vast majority who try this cable love it AND end up buying it.
Including one reviewer who has a "beginner" $600,000 system.

Have you tried the cable?
Don't bother to answer, we know you haven't....
Eich,

I owned it.

A $600K system with a $800 beginner SC.

Never assume, “we know you haven’t...
benzman, I’m with you on your assessment of these cables. Lots more detail in the bass. I’m comparing the Fidelium against Audio Envy NV-SP9. The latter only has maybe 20+ hours on it, so that might be making for a bit of an unfair comparison, but the Fidelium cables can absolutely transform what’s coming out of my Revel m106s. The tweeter on these can sometimes be too much of a good thing with my regular AQ cables, but the Fidelium seems to balance it out quite a bit.

Anyway, bass definition and the overall layering/detail/balance of the sound has been a welcome addition to my setup.
@fxman tried to tell everyone eight months ago. And I tried to reinforce that myself a couple of months later. Now with this review out there, you're likely going to have a hard time even getting a pair, as I'll wager there's likely going to be a landslide of orders. Good luck.

IMO This is a game changing product. If you get them, and are not bowled over, you've got some kind of problem with your setup, something other than speaker cables.
Just installed the Fidelium cables today and they are the real deal. Believe what Greg Weaver said in his review. They are replacing $13k retail cables. Can’t wait to hear them improve...
What you hear is what you get. Very little break in time. It’s a great cable

The interconnects can’t come soon enough. The thing these cables do is give you detail and texture across the spectrum. There’s no exaggerated highs or a focus on treble at the expense of mid bass/ bass detail. It’s all there. What’s fun with these is you can put them on a set of cheap speakers and they’ll sound comparable to more quality builds with the detail retrieval-no muddiness to be found.
Supposedly these may be the entry level cables if future iterations work out. I can only imagine
Yes waiting on the IC's. I've had mine for about a month and still have not compared to my KS6063. I don't want to take the Fideliums out!
I just had a blinding flash of the obvious regarding the Fideliums. Specifically, I suspect they may never get serious review from either Stereophile or The Absolute Sound. Why?

Both of those two mags rely heavily on printed advertising revenue. And the Fideliums have that ability to seriously undercut the business of some of their most prominent advertisers, which - of course - is bad for their own business. Who wants to write a review that might seriously damage the business of one (or more) of their key sources of income? So anyone sitting on the fence waiting for the thumbs up from one of the two major hifi mags may well have to keep waiting.

Others will trust things like Positive Feedback dot com’s recent comment in their Writer’s Choice Awards:
"Having lived with the costliest wire on the planet, I can say with certainty the Fidelium has achieved cost no-object performance for under a grand."

That’s one heck of an accolade. It’s just not in a printed magazine.
I did my best to resist, leaving the box with the new Fideliums
unopened, for a week.  I wanted time to tweak my system,
and pay attention to what I liked about the sound.
And identify passages to focus on, with the new cables.

The Fidelium cables are incredibly good.  Really.
Too bad I can't get back the time I "wasted"
using other speaker cables.  But there is so much
great sound to look forward to!

Has anyone compared these to Goertz cables?  They're essentially the same thing.
Even the Fideliums are sentitve to vibration.
The top of my amplifier is always removed, exposing the
speaker connections inside, at the rear.

I attached some clamps to both sets: the ones
connecting the cables and the unused ones.
So, one clamp covers the l and r channels of the
former set, and a second clamp connecting the
two posts of the latter.

The sound has become even clearer, with better focus.
Have had mine for about 3 weeks. By far the best speaker cables i have tried. Cant wait for the interconnects..A reviewer friend of mine thinks the same..
I am just past two months with the Fideliums and just as pleased now as in the beginning days. I won't be selling my KS6063 because they are to good to part with. The Fidel's won't be on the Gon' either.

I tube roll, digital cable roll.....why not IC & speaker cable roll too.

I would say that these cables are very good, great at their price point but not the best cables I have heard. Would not hesitate to recommend unless the client was willing the pay the significant increase in price to get to the next tier.
Well I would say that the Inakustik 4004s certainly do some things better and nothing worse that I can hear. I would give the nod in favor of the Fideliums over the Inakustik 2404 although these are both great cables. I think the Bionics cables (new company) are superb but I need to do a head to head comparison. Give me some time and I can think of more, but all of these cables are more expensive.
I've been intrigued by the Inakustik 4004s but haven't read very much about them and they are not inexpensive like the Fideliums, which makes it harder to commit.
This is where auditions become a necessity. For all the rich guys here, they may not blink an eye at plopping down $5-$10k for speaker cables, but not for me. Tellurium Q is also an interesting brand, but one that's not easily accessible in the states - the Black IIs have impressed me for the price, they're also ribbons, although they don't do what Fideliums can. Then again, I don't want to drop $3-6k further up the range to find out. I've got a whole list of cables to try - Silnote Poseidon, Shunyata v2s, Kirmuss, ZenWave, Grover Huffman, it's a crowded market.

The reviews though in The Sound Advocate and Enjoy the Music were so out there with praise that it was really a no brainer to give these a try.
There's also a thread over on Audio Circle where the Fideliums are much enthused about.
Looks like fideliums also are on the list for "stereotimes list of 2020`s most wanted components". Not surprising though. If the Stereophile or abolutesound reviews them, am sure they get great reviews too.
Fidelium owners, how is the bass with these cables? With the extremely thin conductor, does it allow enough current to have full bass authority?
That's not very thick, is that enough to carry the full power if the speaker is somewhat power hungry? Typically conventional speaker cable of 15awg or above sound thinner than their thicker counterparts

Ditto: The bass is excellent.

In my system I feel the bass is their biggest plus. More defined than any other cable I have had.
Here's hoping Jeff has a successful production run starting tomorrow. Plus, ships by the 15th.
FIDELIUM - The Silversmith Audio Group

Then, possibly the release of his Interconnects. Timeline on the IC's? If he is pleased with them to release/sell them-soon.

I run my ZMA direct with its variable gain. Discerning Digital Cables, IC's and Speaker cables are notable for me. I'm enjoying the Snake River Audio Boomslang, Snake River Audio Cottonmouth Gold and Silversmith Audio Fidelium Speaker cable combination.

Time to do some tube rolling too.

I got a pair of 10 footers yesterday (my rack is outside my speakers) after ordering earlier in the week. Great turnaround and shipping despite a nasty snowstorm in Wyoming. Box for cables was barely larger than a box of stick matches and weighed ounces. Cables were easy enough to connect albeit a bit awkward given their width and thinness.  First hour was ok, most likely because I had just fired up all my equipment. I know but I was impatient.
Once everything got cooking I heard excellent detail, instrument separation was fantastic, bass very solid and fast. Upper frequency clarity is more than the MIT’s that I have been using. This is great for cymbals but maybe a tad less sweet on some digital source vocals. I am running the Magnepan 3.7’s with cardas jumpers(no resistors) on tweeters so the Fidelium may just be accurately carrying what is fed. Interestingly to divertiti’s comment it does seem I have to increase preamp volume a bit more than with the MIT’s, could just be imagination since I am not measuring but not an issue as my system is gain heavy. Absolutely love the “live” sound with my reference recordings. Piano and drums are amazingly dynamic. Looking forward to more listening today. Jeff has delivered an amazingly good cable. I would highly recommend an audition on anyone’s system given the price/value/sound ratios.

Nope pretty straightforward. They require a bit of finesse as these are like paper thin and about 3 inches wide. You can overlap them easy enough though which is what I had to do at the speakers. I had to buy 10 footers so now trying to come up with some nice cable holders to keep the closer speaker line from being a jumbled mess. Listening late last night was fantastic. Vocals drums and piano in particular are crystal clear, fast and so realistic in my system. I haven’t tried them with much rock yet but the jazz, acoustic, vocals and orchestra all sound wonderful.
@jmbumgarner01,

I have used these with flat speaker cables in the past. If they interests you, keep an eye on them. They are currently sold out but he often re-stocks them.

Breaking in the Cary 700 and the Silversmiths.  I have the same setup. Very nice match.
Zoiks, these are great cables!  Bi-wire adapters took a bit of attention to arrange, but otherwise easy installation.

Wife from kitchen says "Wow, those really do sound good!"  Doesn't get better than that! :)

Warming up the table and pulling favorite vinyl off the shelf.  Will be breaking out the Lagavulin tonight!

Cheers all!
