New purchase Bryston bdp 2

I have been looking to buy a streamer/digital player for quite a while and finally pulled the plug last week. Previously I was using my windows laptop and FLAC files and Tidal. After hooking it all up, not difficult, It took about 5 seconds to realise what I have been missing by not starting out with a good source.
Big difference in clarity, detail, bass and pretty much everything.

So if you are sitting on the fence about making the move, get off the fence and pick up a decent streamer/player. You won’t be disappointed.

Good luck

+1 on BDP-2. Good value as used streamer. Great sounding using AES/EBU. Only downside is it doesn’t have USB out to dac so if this is what your DAC needs, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
I agree. Very good value. Mine was also factory upgraded with the newest board and software. I am using the spdif BNC output connection with an adapter to RCA, a 75 ohm coaxial cable to an RCA input on my Audio Note 3.1 Dac. At some point I will try the AES/EBU connection but would be surprised if there is an improvement.

Even without a USB output there are many options of adapters to make things work. I would research individual needs before discounting the BDP 2 because of connection issues.
Just want to mention that any of the USB inputs also function as USB outputs.  I am using USB into a Benchmark DAC3 and it sounds wonderful.
PS - this may only apply to BDP-2's with newer boards.  Hope this info is still helpful.
