New mods to Lindemann D680?

I'm told Lindemann is upgrading its D680 player, mostly
software revisions, and will have it available to ship
in March. Anyone have more specifics on this?

I was about to take the Lindemann plunge ($9750), when I stumbled upon the EXemplar/Denon 2900 thread. Sounds to
me like this is a reference upgrade by John Tucker and
at half the price of the Lindemann. Anyone have
experience with both?
