New high end processor

Hi all, I am in the market for a processor to power My PMC speakers. I currently have a 5.1 system but in the near future it will be expanded to a 7.1 or 7.2 possibly with atmos. I have parasound halo amps. I have been in a holding pattern with a Denon 3400 with which I am not enamored and have yet ot hook up my amps. So, my budget is 5k. I have seen the Marantz 8500, Avm 60 and the Yamaha Cx 5200 on line. I am sure that there are others, and updates for this year? Suggestions?

Thank you

I’m in your exact spot and am looking at the Lexicon MC-10. I currently have the Marantz 8805. I like it, no complaints, its certainly trouble less and that’s important. I keep hearing about Dirac room correction and I just want to try it. My system is all Legacy with their new I*V 7 amp. The Arcam AV 40 is the newer model of this processor and its supposed to have better bass correction than the MC-10, but they are having tons of teething pains with it and I’m just not wanting to buy a problem. The MC-10 on the other hand seems rock solid …
Price wise ,you can find these for slightly under 4 grand, even cheaper if you know where to look

If your not going long distances, like over 10 feet, I would go un balanced RCA type. It will say you some money. Most people say you cant tell the difference on short runs .
