New Forum Format Sucks

The new forum format sucks. The old one was perfectly fine.

The new format is different, but it is  fine, plus there are several new features that are very nice, like an expanded search function and the ability to follow new additions to a thread, along with additional information in the lists and posts. Without the rewrite, there probably would never had been any improvements made, ever. Use it for a while. It is easy to use and more functional than the old version.
Ctrl + or Ctrl - will zoom in or out on IE and Firefox. On MACs I think it is Alt + or Alt -.
Can AG please add the ability to directly quote posts, instead of using archaic mark up tags?
No markup tag - but I did have to copy and paste.  Just hit the quote button and then paste. A button would be better, but this works.

And you think that’s because of a new format/program?

Yes. The changed the sorting time.
213runnin1 posts12-01-2015 10:51pmI'm ticked.  Somehow they totally lost my membership.  I've been a member that logs into this forum for 3 years.  After the change to the new forum, I couldn't log in.  My laptop has my handle and password memorized, and I could not log in.
In the past, there were separate passwords for the selling part of the site and the forums. Now, there is only one login. So, if you were using different passwords for the two parts of the site, you now have to use the one for the selling part of the site. No sure, but that may be what you are seeing.
dbear44 - Why not do  a search on this site for what you are looking for? All the old forum posts are here.
dbear44 - I did a Yahoo search and found appropriate threads on the new forum by including Audiogon in the search. Without including Audiogon, the only hit I got of your list in the first few pages was Audio Review.  None of your other examples came up. Search engines work by looking at sites on the Internet and then they index their contents. That may take some time, but I suspect they will catch up to the new site pretty quickly. I doubt the visibility of the new site will be much different than the old site over time.
I would start with a sort feature allowing viewer to toggle between FIFO, First In First Out, as it is now,  to let the screen build starting with the most recent.
The idea is whether to sort by most recent posts or more recent  threads. This was actually discussed during the early  beta and was on the list of things to do for the developers. They implemented a similar concept for the Popular Discussions - Popular All TIme or Popular Recently.  They may well come back and add that option for the main threads. If they do, I would like to see it done like Popular Discussions - as an option at the top of the column rather than in the profile. That lets you toggle back and force as desired.
czarivey2,240 posts12-07-2015 4:49pmIt's getting better. After the conversation with team I realized that they're so green and amateur!

Why not simply law out what you would like to see changed and why. IMO, the snarky remarks are pretty amateur.
