The Denon 103 ($200), Denon 103R ($250) and the AT OC9/II ($275) are the low end MC cartridges of choice. Lots of discussion about these cartridges on Vinyl Asylum.

Hi All,
I have an older Micro Seiki MB-18 turntable, and I'm wondering what kind of cartridge I might get under $200. It doesn't accept P-mounts. I'll probably be running whatever I get through a new phono stage, one which would be appropriate for either MM or MC cartridges.
I listen to all kinds of music, and I'd appreciate any feedback you can provide. I haven't been in the cartridge market for over 20 years!
