Netbook or Laptop, which window version is better?

Is using laptop sounds better than using Netbook? Or no difference?

Window XP, Window Vista and Window 7, which version is more suitable for PC Audio and sounds better?

I currently using Laptop with Window Vista. I am using USB converter, foobar2000 with ASIO plugin connect to DAC.

I am planning to buy a Netbook with Window XP. Reason for netbook is smaller and longer battery time. XP because the SRC resampler only work in XP.

Any recommendation? Thanks

If you go with a netbook you may be limited in hard drive space and you will have to purchase an external hard drive.
Actually, you should do that anyway. You need to check to see if the version of XP is a full version instead of scaled down version for portable devices. I would contact Microsoft to make sure all the files for media player or digital playback is included in the netbook version of XP.
Windows 7 has a starter pack for the netbook. I haven't found any info on it yet but it is a scaled down version and so far it is allot slower than the full version.
I have worked on a few of the netbooks and the processor is of the scaled down variety too. Most use the Intel Atom processor which I'm not a huge fan of. They do make smaller screen regular computers. I think you would be better off with the Apple Powerbook for around $1,000 if still available or one of the 13" screens and some smaller.
