Neil Young Archives-Blu-Ray-How play it?

I know nothing about video systems. But, I would like to buy the Neil Young Archives set in Blu-Ray, if I can access the hi-rez music content on my stereo system (not the video). My ignorance forces me to ask if I can simply buy a blu-ray player and hook it up to my stereo system and access this content? If not, what do I need to do to allow me to hear the hi-rez music content without having to run it through my video system?
