Need some help with setting up a Lyro Delos

Yesterday I got a Lyro Delos cartridge. After mounting it and setting it up I connected to a setup transformer set at 10X and got ready to be amazed. Well didn't go as well as expected. The transformer seems to be giving it to much gain and I am getting the same noise you hear when the volume is at 100% and music is not playing. My pre-amp has a built-in tube MM phono stage that I connected the transformer. I also have a Project II SE box to "play with" but that to is giving me the same problem .Maybe I am not setting it to the right level, this one is connected to "AUX". These are the specs for the cartridge, any help would be greatly appreciated.
