Need Help with Rega Planar 3 setup

I just got a rega planar 3 and am a little confused about the following things. First, it didn't come with a manual. Was it supposed to have done so? Also ... Where are the calibrations for the tracking force? What is the slide guage at the back of the tonearmm, just before and beneath the pivot... Why is the anti-skate control so tough to turn. I am afraid of turning it and breaking something. There does not seem to be much room for the tonearm above the platter -- the stylus hardly has room to lift off the record. Thanks for your help.

The Rega Planar 3 comes with a folded poster-type "manual". Not too much on it. I believe the control that turns is the tracking force control; the slide control is the anti-skate. I hear that you can adjust the height of the tonearm when cued up with an allen wrench to the cueing thingy, but I haven't done it yet. Many cartridges need for the Rega arm to be raised to work properly. You can raise the arm by using spacers which you can get at places like The Analog Shop (716) 742-2860 or Audiowaves (800) 510-4753, or probably Audio Advisor. Here are some tips and tricks for setting up Rega arms, including a recommendation for how to set the tracking force. http://www.originlive.com/rb300.htm
