Need Help on Optical Cable Connection

Hi,

My TV has a malfunction and the only available audio output is via optical cable (TOSLINK). But I need the output to 2 devices, one is the Signia Streamline TV for hearing aid (https://www.signia.net/en-us/connectivity/streamline-tv/) and two is a sound bar (Creative Stage). Fortunately, the Signia Streamline TV has an optical output. So I connect the optical output to Signia and then cascade this to the sound bar.

The problem I faced is there is no sound from the sound bar. Signia heading aid is working fine. I need to unplug and re-plug the optical cable between Signia and sound bar to get the sound working on the sound bar. This happens all the time whenever I turn on the TV.

Anyone can help and advise? Thanks much.

Just use a eBay splitter. I’m using a 1 to 3.
AVR, stereo preamp and an outboard DAC.
If you don’t get sound try another cable. The Blue Jeans one I have only works on some devices.
