Need cartridge suggestions for Spacearm carbon

I'm looking to switch my Grado out soon and I need advice from NAS owners or dealers. My phono pre is a 99 magnum version, Speakers are VSM-M, amp Llano trinity. Thanks for any help....

I can get a deal on the Cardas cartridge thats a modified benz. Which cartridge is the best you've heard on the Space combo?

My budget is around 1K used or new, I can get the Cardas Cartridge for around 1100 lightly used.

I dont know how to post a picture but:

A new addition to the Cardas Heart line of cartridges is the Myrtle. It is a highly evolved cartridge built on a unique Benz chassis. The Myrtle is extremely tough and reliable, as well as being one of the most musically pleasing of all the cartridges. Its Myrtlewood body is a unique vibration damper. A well seasoned cartridge performs well at a high input impedance of 47 k, if the system is quiet. A lower impedance of 500-1.5 k works if the system tends to hum or the cartridge is not broken-in. This cartridge has a standard output of 0.38 mv, which is within the capability of most modern high quality pre-amps.

The character of the Cardas Myrtle is lasting musicality. It is a well engineered, strong, majestic piece that brings the lasting luxury of full, warm music.

4yanx,

When do you intend to post your review? I'm interested to hear what you think. What was your previous cartridge?

Thanks,

N-D
I have a NA Tracer #3 on a Spacearm. Have had it now for about 2 months and am nearly ready to post a review on the cartridge after a sufficient break-in time and a few minor tweakings to the setup. Since I have never seen an actual review of the #3, after a good deal of searching, perhaps it will help others.

As for Nottingham TT's/Arms, in general, you will find a ton-o-users in the vinyl section of the audioasylum.com board.
Well, I don't know what the mass of your tonearm is, but if it's carbon it may be a medium to low mass arm. This may put it out of the category for the Myrtle. The compliance of 15 is not terribly low and should not be much of a challenge to most quality tonearm bearings. If your arm's effective mass is above 11 grams you'll probably be fine with the Myrtle or similar cartidges. Your tonearm user manual should state the effective mass.
