Nakamichi DR-10 Cassette Deck Repair
I am the original owner of a Nakamichi DR-10 Cassette Deck. This unit has been sitting idle (indoors, climate-controlled environment) for a decade or more. I recently connected it to my stereo system, and attempted to play (several) tapes. As soon as I push the Play button, it stops; i.e.: it will not play the tape. The Fast Forward and Rewind both work. QUESTIONS:
- Any ideas re: how to fix this issue?
- Any suggestions re: repair services?

after years of stopping it is normal that a tape deck does not work, belts melted into the pulley, maybe even the idler works badly due to many years of stop. It is not a complicated job, a change of belts always works out; at that point it is also better to carry out calibrations to bring the deck back to the manufacturer's specs |
Yes, [email protected], still somewhat active. The knowledgable ones do respond. |
