It will be ok to use 16 ohm speakers on either switch position. Just don't use 2 pair of speakers or a single pair below 8 ohms on the hi position. And always change switch position with amp turned off.
NAD power amp ohm rating
I have a NAD 2150 power amp. On the back of the unit, there is a switch labelled "normal" and "high", with the 8 ohm symbol above normal, and "greater than or equal to" above "high". Does this mean the high position would be adequate to run 16 ohm speakers, specifically Altec Lansing 605's? Thank you.
