NAD M10 Streaming Amplifier

I have decided to downsize my home office system to lower the box count and sell equipment that is overkill for my small office space. (11’x11’).  My home office system consisted of an Esoteric I-03 Integrated, Sony HAP-Z1, and a Bryston BDP-1.  All three of these devices were replaced with the NAD M10.

I now work from home full time and my listening is limited to mainly background music so my equipment requirements are modest.

The NAD M10 is a Class D amplifier and around 100W per channel.

Some features include:
Plays music from network shares on the following desktop operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, Vista, 7, 8 to current Windows Operating Systems and Mac OS X versions.  (I have a Synology NAS with minimum server)
  • User interface mobile operating system BluOS
  • BluOS – Free Android and iOS App available online at Google Play and Apple App store
  • Supported cloud services*
  • Amazon Alexa, Amazon Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz, HDTracks, HighResAudio, Murfie, JUKE, Napster, Slacker Radio, KKBox, Bugs
  • Free internet radio*
  • TuneIn Radio, iHeartRadio, Calm Radio, Radio Paradise
  • Bluetooth quality
  • Bluetooth aptX HD built-in
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Two-Way (Receive and Headphone modes)
  • Network connectivity
  • Gigabit Ethernet RJ45, Wi-Fi 5
It supports playback of DSD files with the latest firmware.

Bottom line for me it is a great system for my needs and it sounds great playing into my KEF LS50s.  Streaming from the NAS or Tidal works great and again it sounds very good.  This is my first experience with the BluOS and it works perfectly running on my iMac, iPad, or iPhone.  Plenty of power, great OS, high quality sound for the price and lots of cool features (Bass/Treble, TuneIn Radio, WiFi connectivity, DSD Playback, etc.).

Purchased from a seller on Audiogon for a great price.  Highly recommended!

One quick note, you may see the M10 vs the M10v2.  You really want the v2.  It is a much better unit for a variety of reasons.  The DIRAC Live in the original M10 was not great, much better in the V2.  An installer I work with bought a demo from me  and he is shocked how good it is.

Not sure about max size of attachable HD.  That is a great question for your dealer.

Any NAD M10 users able to fast forward/reverse Redbook tracks on TIDAL?  TIDAL MQA tracks allow this feature, but not Redbook tracks.

Thanks in advance.
I went ahead and did the upgrade to the full version, but it was only a minor improvement. It’s really the low frequencies that have the most room for improvement in a room correction system and the basic version does that.
Did you pay $99.00 for the full Dirac Live solution or are you using the out of the box functionality?  I haven't tried it yet
The Dirac Live room correction is also great if you are in the common situation of not having a dedicated listening room with the ideal dimensions and acoustic treatments. Music sounds great (even the bass) in my less then ideal living room.
I forgot to mention, but it should be obvious, the NAD M10 has a built in DAC so all you need is a pair of speakers to have a complete system
Sfseay,

The NAD M10 is but one of the new lifestyle audio products that can replace a giant stack of components and in some cases outperform them or equal them or come somewhat close.

We sell the NAD M10 as well as the Naim Uniti products and the Micromega M100.

All of these products have built in streamers, Apt X Bluetooth, and can play with Roon, M100 via Airplay only.

They all differ in terms of features, with the NAD M10 offering the most accessable streaming services, the others Tidal, Spotify, Qbouzz.

In tems of an office system any of these units will do splendily.

The $4,500.00 Micromega is just amazing but for $2k more than the NAD M10.

So you did call it right, many people don't think that these compact all in one units are capable of comparable performance to the bigger audiophile brands and setups yet they really do.
