Nope, and hopefully it won't. I've had mine (bought it new) for about 2 1/2 years. No problems
Did you try unplugging it for a couple minutes and plugging it back in? It's never happened to me.
Bob...not that I know of? I will call VPI today and report back to you all soon!
An update..I took the SDS out of the system and checked the two fuses. Then I plugged it back in....... it worked!!!!! Who knows? I just glad I didn't have to send it back.
Rwd, That was my reco on 4-17-05. Unplugging the unit for a few minutes then plugging it back in. I've never had a problem with my SDS yet, but that's worked on computers, dvd players, tv's and cd players. As more computer software gets into our audio hardware, sometimes all it takes to get something working again is to unplug it and reboot the system.

It's a very inexpensive fix, and the first one I try. :-)
Don't feel bad. I've been though 3 PLC's and VPI won't repair them anymore. The one I have now I got used. Transformer's keep burning out. Wish I could afford an SDS!
