My PSB Subsonic 5i blew up

My five year old PSB Subsonic 5i Sub blew up yesterday. Eats fuses and seems like the amp has blown...:0(
Apparently, the cost of replacing the amp module is more than the cost of the sub since it is now discontinued! ( Beware all Subsonic 5i users!!!)
Does anyone have any thoughts on the new PSB models? Compare to the B&W sub ASW610 or go another direction? I want to stay in the same basic price range as the B&W.

I really like the PSB subs. I find them really musical. I just lost my 3rd Velodyne recently, and the next one I buy will be a PSB. Like all of the speakers they make, I find them pretty hard to beat for the money.
