Music Hall Cruise Control work with NottinghamTT?

Has anyone ever tried the Music Hall speed control on a Nottingham turntable? Did it tighten up the sound? Is it good enough for the money?

That is where I got mine. I ordered it online on a sunday evening about 11pm and had it in my hands on thursday in the midwest.
