MA2 will give you more bass not necessarily tight bass and more detail in the mid range the highs did not change so much in my system but may smooth out in yours try them out they may be what your after I like them.I run the MA2 from my tube pre to a solid state amp works nicely.(jj 243 pre to HK Citation 16s).

As you probably know, that is impossible to guess. Everyones equipment and listening conditions are different.
What may work for one may not work for another.

I use Morrow MA3's and SP4's and find them to be excellent in my system all the way around. YMMV
