I think the moment the conversation changes to cute, sarcastic remarks, this defeats the purpose of why this discussion platform was created. We all need to remember there are beginners, intermediates and experts. Some of us are here to learn from those who know more. This is when the experts can impart their knowledge so we can begin to understand what things can improve our sound systems. We are all trying to improve sound quality, but not all of us have the amount of money to spend. With what money we have, we need to use it wisely and spend the money where it is most likely to make the biggest difference.

I'm here over 8 years and back then, I think the moderation guidelines were much lighter than today. I think it's okay to have all foolish posts of ebm instead of removing part of them IMHO.
Having that as a fact would you like to
A) Leave it same way?
B) Bring more rules?

As yours doesn’t stink, enlighten me on a speaker in the same price range that trounces them. Not just sounds better but meets your criteria of excellence.

Oh, this war can be calculated alright , though it is a horrible disaster,
What can never be calculated is something like the 300 million Americans . Canadians ,Mexicans, Cubans and others who died from Russian Nukes in 5 seconds . Because like in the first and in the second war and now the third world war, which are the SAME war for the same set of causes we do not recognized at this times the factors at play nor did we want to understand it NOW... Hating, and refusing to discuss, will created the third... I am sorry that these simple facts make obstacle to the desire by most people to moralize like children in a school evil and the good side, without even thinking about all the factors at play... Yes Putin has made a foolish move and yes America has made theirs with Ukraine....Criminals are criminals and they had their reason and they do it for the sake of humanity most of the times... Like already said in "Morwynn" his book about hell, the Great John Cowper Powys, all the damned work and will work for the greater good of mankind especially with science and reason...Save the marquis de Sade who is among the few there that think hell is boring...Read this book by the way it is a very original take about hell.... I dont choose between fools... And yes many people die now and there is more to come because of this "just" war for the two sides... Not understanding and not wanting to understand this simple fact is participating to the making of the third global war ... This is the reason behind my thinking... Yes i prefer to think about the two miseries of all those who are at war , instead of hating one side...You can make effort to stop a criminal act WITHOUT letting hate and judgment from propaganda coming from all sides to blind you... I apologize if my reflection disturb hate and suspend judgment appealing to thinking...But we are in the way to mutual self destruction now... Is it not more important obligation to think about that than the mutual accusations and the hate? Guess what the Christ will say about all that using his saying about judging others, and money, and the beam and the straw ? Why not thinking with Christ? I try..... If you dont want to think with Christ because you dont believe him, take a course study in "geopolitic" of the last 70 years... The first victim of war is truth guess why? I condemn Putin by the way....But i will not absolve Biden nor many others with him ....If you dont understand why i am sorry ... I only express here my thinking and i apologize if i add disconfort to this thread and to some people... My deepest respect for you and for all people here without exception.... You are correct about the "small minded" individuals. I'm one of them but I don't know how large our "little group" is. My actual brain (not my head) is about the size of a walnut, doctors tell me. They can't figure it out! Before retirement I succeeded in my chosen career, and I've stayed happily married to a great lady, assembled a great hi-fi system, and even find time to participate in a few audio forums and solve Wordle every day. And I do that all with a brain the size of a walnut. C'mon, you have to admit that is pretty amazing! Imagine what I'd accomplish if I had a normal brain, like you may have. It's sad that we'll never know. But don't feel sorry for me. My sister's brain is about the size of a grape, and she's one of the smartest people in my family. You'd be impressed if you met her.
