mmf-5 arm adjustment

Hi, the cartridge on my mmf-5 isn't parallel to the record surface. I remember that someone on here said that the arms are sometimes attached incorectly at the factory. Is it possible to adjust the arm, or will I have to get a replacement from Music Hall?

If your arm is not parallel to the record surface.
You can adjust the VTA on the MMF-5 by loosening the 2 screws on the base of the arm using the Allen-wrench that came with the table. You can then lift or lower the arm as needed, as Deedar has said. You also need to check the vtf or the amount of tracking force you are using this will also affect the vta. Set your vtf then check to see that your arm is parallel to the record surface, or maybe just slightly down in the back. You should fine tune by listening, adjusting vta and vtf.

Good luck and good listening
