Mitigating the Bubble
Today after many years of trials and tribulations I have mitigated a sonic aberration a horizontal phase anomaly in my center stage. While the center image was always stable and outlined it seemed narrow and bubble like and I would need to shift my body angle to really lock in the image. This was obvious on many CDs and LPs .
I have many man made fixes that helped the situation but never a total cure. Some of these are now permanent fixtures on the ceiling in 2 different locations. I made my own acoustic panels filled with long hair sheep's wool and 3 Argent Room Lenses. I have laminar flow lenses that focus and stabilize the image across the front stage. I have built and treated an acoustic fan that overcomes the boundaries with in my room by reducing interference. I have loaded my speaker cabinets 3 times with new drivers and now an outboard crossover. This was after my Essence 30s speakers and my Dunlavy SC4s. ..All my components are hard mounted and direct coupled to the floor...on rock solid racks and speaker stands, custom mono bloc amps each on their own stand. All of these devices and angles and positions made the image wider and more focused but I still had that little bubble and shift before me. Always less annoying with each new device and tweak.
So, your probably saying to yourself hurry up and get to the end. The end finally arrived today after having applied a contact enhancer 7 days ago to just 6 RCA ends out of many connections in my system. Today with a friend who has been here a hundred times sitting in the Chair playing the same music as usual he said there was a wider sweet spot. I despise that term but he said it and not me.What we both heard was a super stable center image that was a few feet wide and not just one. The bubble was gone. The head in the vise was gone. Off came the straight jacket and helmet. What I have now in this space intime is a glorious fully extended soundstage with all the meat on the bones and the features of talking heads on a real live performance stage.
I have probably used eight different contact enhancers over five decades but this one blows my mind. This product Nano Flo is the ultimate in transparency.

Today after 29 year of use I am having my 2 HVAC systems replaced. The installer is easy going as I am treating connections at the time of hookup with Nano Flo. I will go back later and treat the furnace control and motor boards as they are indoors and easy to get to. Reason I am doing this is Chris from Nano Flo sent me a picture of his extension cord that is hooked to an AC unit that pulls 900 watts. He sent a thermal image of the connector at the wall which indicated 130 degrees pretreated and running at full tilt. After treatment and some time the same connection measured in the mid 70 degree range..Tom |
I could talk for an hour about all of this but it would also take me hours to type this all out and then days of the same type of questions from badger boy keeping me from my nap time. The power cord eye think was coated in the nano flo then the surface was compressed to provide penetration of the nano flow thru the skin insulators which would then make contact with the actual conductors A protective wrap was then placed over the treated surfaces below.. The thing that looks like a ferrite magnet at 1 end he says is not..If all eye just wrote is possible then that may suggest quantum tunneling of the nano materials thru the outer shield and surrounding the conductors. He said to me he did not remove the insulator on the initial power cord. Thats watt eye know. Now start with your battering rams.. Tom

A friend and I are both much happier with the results of removing the 1260 and applying the much more transparent Nano Flo. Neither are available any longer. I did buy the larger container and plan to remove the 1260 in my dac my amps and cd transport and apply the Nano Flo. Oh and on my speaker drivers and crossovers. To bad it's gone. Tom |
I have in use a hdmi to component video converter because a lightening strike next door took out the hdmi board. Video is secondary for me. And I said glitter knowing full well what jitter noise is having sold Pioneer plasma flat panels for 20 k and Runco 3 chip projectors. This was before there was a digital source other than those supplied by manufacturers downloaded to hard drives and over the air digital broadcasts. Tom |
As I understand the materials are of low a shear velocity as is the carrier base contained as a friction reducer along with the elements. If the whole string vibrates, then treat the entire string. It would reduce friction and interference on or within the wound string. It should sound better. I have never tried this. I know from other methods I and others have applied to cello and violin which reduce energy returning thru the endpin or end button to the bridge and then to the strings. Makes for better and cleaner sound and if you use a bow there is less force needed to make sound. Should have a similar effect to this material applied directly to the strings. Stick-slip vibration mode apply. Apply to any conductive wire either stationary or in motion. Tom |
Used many enhancers in the past all removed with 90% alcohol and swabs. If the cleaning molecules are larger than than those of the enhancer then not all of the previous tracks will be erased. None the less this product is highly beneficial..Keep in mind most other enhancers have tiny particles also but are measured in microns not nano and because of their larger size are less likely to increase the conductive surface area. There is a change in character right away and continues over a few days. Tom |
I believe the maker stated his product containes particles of between 4 and 10 nano meters. With particles that small they would fill in surface voids, increase surface area, increase conductivity and reduce friction and shear wave interference because of a smoother highway surface. Make order of a microscopically disordered surface.. Tom |
I make parts for string instruments and I was the one that said this treatment may benefit the strings of instruments. I dont know for sure but want to find out. Most strings as do speakers operate partially by shear transmission. If shear wave interference were reduced on strings then you could have cleaner sound. Methods to reduce shear transmission on speaker cones result in better sound. Tom |
I perceived an increase in dynamic range after application to only 6 rca ends. I can listen at much lower levels without feeling the need to jack the volume up as much as before the application. Is the gain in percieved dynamic contrasts the same as "Louder'? Cannot remove and measure and then reapply and measure again because nano particles may not be able to be totaly removed..and then the fact I dont have any more to reapply to measure again. I trust my ears and experience with my body as a listening tool.Tom |
I started this thread the nite before the business relationship fell apart. I was somewhat hopeful that the relationship would be self healing and the product would again be available to the public and be beneficial for the lady.. I have nothing to do with Chris or his product Nanoflo. I was sent Nano flo to try by Krissy the lady not Chris the man. Krissy trusts my ears and values my input and she is no longer connected to this product. I started this thread and 1 previous that was deleted prior to this one. I support this product only and not anything else connected to either Chris or his cables. As far as the joke comment goes ..there are many jokesters on this forum. Those who won’t read all the comments. Those who make harassing and disparaging comments about products they have never tried nor ever will. I catch backwash from people here about my comments of products I use or have created. No fuses just magnets no isolation just direct mechanical coupling ( Isolation can only exist in the absence of matter). Laminar flow devices augmented by my acoustic fan design..No joke here. I try not to be trapped or constrained by conventional textbooks or thoughts. A polarity of shear can return to the source of the original signal or wave launch such as a speaker cone. A polarity can travel the cone surface and be deflected by the next cone motion or hits the surround or frame or cabinet. Some of these shear polarities can return down the cone and impact other waves traveling up the cone generating interfering energy. Same happens in all solids and shapes..your drywall your glass windows your flooring and the contents and shapes of your room generate more shear with new directions. Tom

But shear waves have dual polarity and travel thru solids . If you have an impurity in that solid the the wave will split again upon impact and go off into 2 new directions. If you have a change in geometry the shear can change direction again. Every material and shape has a different shear velocity and it can be different on the outiside versus the inside and then altered by contour and shape. Tom |

Yes p waves travel fastet than s waves. But s wave can be split upon impact of a solid surface and travel in another direction and split at another boundary. Their schizophrenic shape changing is difficult to follow but fascinating. Not sure of the energy content butt the p wave should be more powerful in the line of fire. Tom |
Incoming questions from all sides. Last first..Yes clean off all the pretreated areas before you apply a new material. And yes, I think Krissy was taken advantage of because of her good nature and engaging personality and her kind relationship with many of us on Audiogon. That man used her as a market resource to actually test the product and to test its market acceptance in the audio field. Before he went full bore with the ramp up to production product rate. After the market reception he made the decision that she was no longer needed.... because of all the public statements made by me and all of you...He can just copy and paste the glowing words into his own lingo and print copy. A transverse wave is a shear wave and common to all EM waves which are the start of all thing's audio. The the outer wound filaments are wound around a solid core. So, whether it is a solid core or twisted pairs or even Litz the wave starts as a transverse wave. Now if the treatment of the wire with a nano conductive material makes for an audible difference on a vibrating string, I don't know first-hand. It very well could make for an improvement in the conductive surface area by filling in the material voids reducing friction and building a smoother highway. The shear component would affect the attack and decay of the material and the resulting sound would be affected. Less friction between strands or wire rubbing together and kind of banging around at each other which generates more shear. Also less friction could also make for a longer lasting string. Some cello sets cost up to $290.00 and last up to 6 months if they are played hours a day.. What I do know first hand is this nano treatment makes an audible difference on all my contacts and wire which all work on the same EM principles. Electromagnetic waves are transverse waves. That means the electric and magnetic fields change (oscillate) in a plane that is perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave. And so the sound from your speaker starts as a EM wave. Transverse WAVE. Shear Wave as it travels the tensile leads to the voice coil and making the cone motion become a compression wave. But that motion also has a shear component to it..and part of that shear wave can create interference, more shear upon collision with other waves and other solids. WE hear these collisions of shear because the air comes in contacts with these solid surfaces in motion...We hear these improvements, a reduction in shear collisions as a sound as less confused and with greater continuity and purity ...Cleaner more transparent less noise. When this article landed on my phone 3 years back, I sent it to Tim (perfect path) as I knew he was always in search of new materials. In search of graphene and a base carrier was how we hooked up. He was coming out soon with TC and we talked about his product, but I never knew what the components were. I think he freaked out when I sent him this article, not sure why. I have used this material blended with a few others as an acoustic enhancement applied to areas of my system and audio room. It has a very powerful effect and when first applied and listened to while it was still under cure it is like a sonic blast in the room. Scared the crap out of me...I was afraid I wouldn't find a method to remove the materials. Fortunately, the sound settled down after a few days and back to a new and better normal. I found Chris's number in an email I sent him in 2019 inquiring about diamond lube to use in my Linn Lp12. I haven't spoken to or texted back to him since the end of this March. Tom |
