MIT shotgun s1 XLR & MIT Magnum M1 RCA


Hi Guy, i have buy mit shotgun S1 XLR 1.5m cable & mit magnum M1 RCA 1.5m cable form mit clearence center at aug 2015 & i have few question hope can get some help & information from your guy 1)MIT shotgun S1 XLR 1.5M cable may i know is how many poles for it? the box is show 10 poles but the brochure is show 17 poles? 2) MIT Magnum M1 RCA1.5m box is show 16 poles ,but brochure is show 24 poles? 3)MIT magnum m1 rca the connector is very tight to the rca input of my equipment ? i have other series like shotgun, oracle they won't have this issues.are you having this problem also ?thanks .

MIT uses locking RCA connectors on the Magnum M1. You tighten/loosen the connector by spinning the long silver metal sleeve that covers the connector. They put a rough surface on the part of the sleeve that you put your fingers on to twist. They also put a grip on the yellow/gold piece of metal right next to the sleeve so you can get a good grip.

One thing you have to be careful of is that they don't always turn easy. They end up fooling people because they can be so hard to turn, its easy to think its just a tight fitting RCA, and end up breaking the connector on the component. If you have them on a component that you cant loosen by finger, put a cloth over the connector and very gently loosen them with a pair of pliers. If you try and force it, you can break the connector.
