I have not tried both of these, but I spent a glorious weekend at a friend's house where he has the Luxman, driving a pair of Dali Epicon 8s. It was absolutely wonderful. The Luxman replaced a Prima Luna, and Epicon 8s replaced modified and upgraded Quad ESL 2805s. My own system uses ESL63s, driven by a well-regarded tube preamp and SS power amp. I thought the Luxman/Dali combination lost nothing to my Quad-based system and felt this was a system I could contentedly live with forever. Of course, it should satisfy, with a total MSRP around $30,000, not including digital sources or wiring.
