Matching Amp To Audible Illusions Modulus 3 Pre

Floated this question recently and did not get a response. Have a Audible Illusions Modulus 3 pre running through a Nakamichi PAII Stasis Amp. Looking to down size the amp to something in the 100 to 150 watt range.

Have read there is a rule of thumb with matching a tube pre to a solid state amp.

1) Does my current pre and amp set up come close to being compatible?

2) Is there a better match to my pre in the $600 to $900 range or am I better off to keep what I have?

My listening taste includes rock, blues, & jazz.

Have read that the older Belles matched well with this pre-amp. The ones I have seen our out of my price range.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I am using a McCormack DNA1 with the Mod 3 and it is sweet. The mod 3 is very tube sensitive so be careful what you use.Right now I am trying Ediswans and I like them, but thats my taste
I use an ARC-VT100MkII with the Audible Illusions 3a - I bought this after conferring with Art Ferris. Its a great match. Ditto for any of the ARC amps - I had a VS-55 before. You can pick up a VT100 at a good price.
