Marantz TT-15 turntable

I'm looking for turntable/cartrige package in $1400 - $1800 range. Found Marantz TT-15 turntable with Clearaudio Virtuoso Ebony Wood Cartridge for $1600. Is it a good turntable? It looks like some Clearaudio tables but I was not able to find any reviews on it.
Any opinions will be greately appreciated

In the 1400/1800 range you can do pretty good on a used table/arm combo. You might possibly get a decent cartridge included too! I would look at Michell Gyrodec and VPI Aries tables. The Michell with the new Technoarm can be found in your range. Or the VPI Aries with the JMW9 arm would also be a good choice. Of coarse you'll need a record cleaner too........
My understanding is that Marantz is designed by Clearaudio and made by Marantz. I had one for 2 weeks and it sounded ok but then I tried the Rega P5 w/ Dynavector 10x5 it was analog heaven for my system. The Marantz sound a little shrill in my system. Then again I don't think I gave it enough time to break in.
Right out of the gate the P5 smoked it IMHO.
